  My uncle was found DEAD this morning

  my jw dad called me this morning and told me that he found my jw uncle dead, face-down on the floor in his home.

  he's taking it hard.

  i was shocked to hear him say that he wanted me to be with the family.

  You guys are good to me! All of your comments are so sweet.

  Karen/Sentinel, I can't believe your mom did that to you! How terrible! I called my grandmother (non JW) a few weeks ago to see how she was and she told me that she had been in the hospital for surgery and had just gotten home. I was furious that my dad hadn't called me! I made sure that she knew I would have been there had I known. She said that she'd tell my dad herself that my feelings were hurt. I think that made a difference for my uncles passing. I would like to think that he would have called anyway but I'm sure my grandma had something to do with it too. She would make sure that I knew. She's taking it pretty hard, my uncle was her middle son.

  Thank you everyone for your encouraging words. I knew I'd find comfort here. I don't want to get my hopes up that my family will welcome me with open arms again. I'm just going to take it as it comes and see what I get. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

  He had Lupus and 8 months ago he had a heart attack and heart surgery. Since he was just found this morning, no one knows yet what exactly he died from...it could be any number of things.

  My JW dad called me this morning and told me that he found my JW uncle dead, face-down on the floor in his home. He's taking it hard. I was shocked to hear him say that he wanted me to be with the family. They will be making arrangements for the funeral at a KH. We will have to see how everyone treats me. He was my favorite uncle and because I'm DFd I didn't get to say goodbye.

  Thank you, Gravedancer! I'm one of the ones that has lost parents to the borg. I keep hoping that one day they will come to their senses before they die and I never get to see them again. Awesome piece of work! Thank you!

  The Meaning of Names....?

  there are some that are obvious and then others that just baffle me to no end..... yes i am talking about your user names.... do any of you have stories behind them or are they significant for some reason or are they just a word you made up?.

  mine...well its easy.... i got the nickname of spicy back in nov of last year when i dyed my hair this crazy red color and the name of the color was "spiced ginger".

  the rest of it is because i love to make things more interesting---- sorta of like adding a bit of spice to the stew (hopefully i come across as that as well .

  I can prove scientifically meetings are dangerous

  did you know we were being poisoned at meetings?well did you fall asleep in meetings or conventions?.

  there you are just had your dinner and the convention is starting back up , its saturday afternoon and that means you've got four hours of talks ahead of you, can't wait.. but then you feel sleepy , very sleepy.. so why did we fall asleep?.

  3 reasons.. 1.the talks were boooooooooring.. 2.we were digesting our food and blood was needed from our brians in order to help, since we didn't need it up there antway(see reason 1) it was used else where , hence the sleepyness.. 3.carbon dioxide.all creatures breath out carbon dioxide which is poisonous and also makes you sleepy.usually this doesn't effect us but when you cram a load of people together in a small place this gass collects as it can't get dispersed easilly into the air.with all the yawning from people being sleepy from eating to much food and listening to boring talks( see reason 2) carbon dioxide was pouring out and poisoning us all.. so meetings are dangerous after all.every time we went we were being poisoned by other people.. now thats got to be a good reason not to go..

  Of course, the stage at the conventions is covered with plants to produce oxygen to keep the speakers awake.

  However, number one must be the strongest argument. In Philly we had the conventions in a stadium with no roof...all the fresh air (and rain) we needed. But I still fell asleep.

  Of course the number of anointed will go up. In 50 years that will explain why the "end" hasn't come yet....there will still be 8,000 anointed left....as there has been for the past decade or so. There will always be 8,000 anointed left because the WTS has to keep it's robots on the edge of their seats. (Ooops, was that my outside voice?)

  GLBT Pride Parade Surprise

  well folks, my first glbt pride parade was a blast!

  my hands are sore from all the clapping and my voice is hoarse from all the cheering.

  i clapped so much that i bent my silver celtic ring on my left hand...ouch!!

  I know others in my old cong that are gay...but they won't say it. They just keep hiding in fear who they really are and stay miserable. I wish I could go back and help some of them. Since I'm DFd they wouldn't listen anyway. I hope that one day they will see the real 'light' and come to their senses. We should all be so lucky to be free!
